Are you an engineering professional with expertise in machine procurement, process planning, and equipment design? This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation and robotics projects within a leading automotive manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Lead procurement and design specifications for machines, robots, and automated welding equipment
✅ Collaborate with machine vendors to ensure quality and specifications meet project requirements
✅ Utilize AutoCAD, Catia, C3, or other 3D design tools for equipment layout and process planning
✅ Manage full project lifecycle, including process planning, procurement, installation, testing, and cost control
✅ Support manufacturing operations by tracking process performance and ensuring efficiency
✅ Oversee installation and trial management for new equipment, both domestically and internationally
✅ Work off-shift hours, weekends, and holidays as required for non-production installations
Must-Have Qualifications:
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
✔️ 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or the automotive industry
✔️ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Catia, C3, or similar 3D design tools
✔️ Strong project management skills (schedule control, budget management, cost reduction)
✔️ Experience in process planning, machine specifications, and procurement
✔️ Ability to travel up to 30% (Domestic & International – Canada, Mexico, Japan)
Preferred Qualifications:
➕ Experience in body shop engineering
➕ New model introduction experience
➕ Up to 5 years of automotive/manufacturing engineering experience
Job Details:
📍 Location: Georgetown, KY (On-site from Day 1)
🕒 Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
📆 Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
💼 Overtime: Up to 30% (weekdays, weekends, shutdowns, holidays, odd hours)
✈️ Travel: 30% (Canada, Mexico, Japan) for project phases, equipment installation, and vendor coordination
⚡ Interview Process: 1 round – STAR-based Video Interview (MS Teams)
